Benefits of Membership


The Maine Acupuncture Society supports members by:

  • Creating a referral network of acupuncturists in Maine

  • Highlighting member practices on social media

  • Creating opportunities for acupuncturists to meet each other and engage with the greater community

Membership Levels Include:

Professional Licensed Acupuncturist
$260.00 per year or $23.00 per month
Your membership includes a personal profile page on the MAS website,  general notices and emails, newsletters, discounts for MAS-hosted events, JASA journal, discounts from various suppliers/vendors, attendance at the annual meeting, voting privileges (in board elections) and the opportunity to serve on committees and run for the executive board of the association.

Professional Licensed Acupuncturist, First Year in Practice
$150.00 for one year only or $13.00 per month
Membership includes the same as Professional Licensed Acupuncturists but at a discount for first-year practitioners.

Student 
Free 
We encourage students to join us as observers and to start connecting with your future colleagues. You will receive general notices of the MAS, newsletters, discounts from various suppliers/vendors, and attendance at the Annual Meeting as a non-voting member.

Supporting Acupuncturist 
One time payment for a lifetime membership includes the same as Professional Licensed Acupuncturists. Please contact us about the current rate.

Supporting Business 
$500.00 per year 
By joining the MAS you are supporting our goals to maintain high standards of acupuncture practice, promote just health laws, educate the general public, support research in acupuncture and East Asian Medicine, and provide a network of support for the acupuncture community of Maine. Your membership comes with free banner ad on MAS.org

Supporting Public Member 
$200.00 per year 
By joining the MAS you are supporting our goals to maintain high standards of acupuncture practice, promote just health laws, educate the general public, support research in acupuncture and East Asian medicine, provide a network of support for the acupuncture community of Maine

Retired Licensed Acupuncturist 
$75.00 per year 
For those licensed acupuncturists who have retired but wish to continue as participants in our association, it is our honor to have your continued presence and involvement as a voting member. Membership includes the same as Professional Licensed Acupuncturists.
